The 10 Traits of VIBRANT Cities:

Rethink The Way You Look At Urban Places & Learn What It Really Takes To Make Your Community More Vibrant

eBook Cover

Why did I write this book?

The sole intention of this book is to uncover the common traits shared by all vibrant cities and how every city can make use of this knowledge to become a better urban place. This book isn’t based on abstract theories, but instead, from observing, analyzing, and exploring cities and what really makes them work.

Who is this book for?

This book is for anyone who gets paid to make their community more vibrant:

  • Urban planners
  • Economic development professionals
  • Local government leaders

This book is also for people who get paid for their advice on how to improve cities:

  • Consultants
  • Researchers
  • Academics

Last, but not least, this book is for people who invest time and money to improve their community simply because they believe in the future of their city:

  • Students
  • Engaged citizens
  • Professionals from other fields

Help Me Re-Define Urban

Many of the ideas in this book are the opposite of the conventional wisdom about cities.  Above all else, this book is meant to incite change.  I want to change the way you think about your city and how you define success for your community.  Ultimately, I want to redefine the word “urban” by breaking down the 10 traits that make up the essence of vibrant urban places.
